LIVE VR Yoga — Updates
Thanks for joining the Yogistream.tv waitlist and for your interest in live VR yoga. The wait is finally over!
Last week I conducted the first two classes. They are accessible for beginners and have modifications for intermediate and more advanced viewers. I also put together a Video Tutorial if you are curious as to what this format will look like on your device.
If you like to try live VR yoga, I’ve got our next set of live VR yoga classes now scheduled:
What does it cost?
These classes are part of a pilot that will be running through approximately May 2nd. All pilot classes are free of charge. No credit card is required to signup and no cancellation is required to avoid charges once the pilot ends. If you participate, I will send you a survey to get your thoughts and feedback.
What to expect:
Although the classes can be viewed on a regular computer or mobile device, the best experience will be on a VR headset like Google Cardboard, a VR headset for your mobile device, or on Oculus Quest. You will be able to look down and see the yoga mat beneath you, look at the instructor and all around your environment. Based on some of your feedback, I’ll be starting with these classes out in nature.
I’d like for this immersive experience to be accessible for as many interested viewers as possible. If you don’t own a VR headset but would like to participate, you can purchase a headset that will accommodate most mobile devices. I’ve tested and have had good luck with this Destek V5 headset that can be purchased from Amazon for around $30 USD.
Please let me know if you have any thoughts or questions. I hope to have you joining one of our immersive classes soon.
Cheers,
Steven McNellie
